Go to Classroom. On Step 2: Setting You will find a PDF of a Powerpoint. Read the Powerpoint and write 1 summarizing sentence on each slide. (You do not need to make a comment on the first or last slide. Basically, you will need to write 11 comments).

Part A: Complete the following two PlayPosit lessons on Characterization.
Part B: On Classroom, complete the Characterization Academic Workout worksheet. The assignment is titled Step 3: Characterization.

- Create a brown paper bag puppet representing a character. On a sheet of paper, write a 2 paragraph description of your character. Include information about the character's background, physical appearance, personality, speech, thoughts, and actions. Attach the paper to the BACK of the puppet.
- Use the Person Outline PDF below to design a character's tattoos. These tattoos should represent your character. On a sheet of paper, write at least two sentences about each tattoo. Explain what the tattoo shows and how this reflects your character's personality.
- Write about a real person you know. Write three paragraphs that include a description of the person's background, appearance, actions, and speech.
- Write an alternate back story for a character you like from a film, book, video game, or comic book. In one paragraph, explain their original back story. Then spend two paragraphs describing their new back story and how it has impacted their personality.
- Create a playlist that represents your character's personality. Select 4 - 7 songs, and copy and paste the lyrics into a doc or notability. Make sure you edit out any school inappropriate words or language. For each song, write a 2 - 3 sentence explanation of how that song represents your character.
- Make up your own project demonstrating your understanding of characterization. It must include at least 2 paragraphs of writing and it may include art. Check with your teacher first to make sure your idea is okay.
